The GPIO (General Purpose Input/Output) equipment acts as a logical communication interface, a SmartZ device featuring 10 inputs and 2 outputs.

Its function is to allow the SmartZ control unit to "listen" to what is happening in other devices and "talk" to external systems to report its own status.

Inputs:

Through the inputs, it can receive signals—for example, from an alarm panel—and trigger actions within our system, such as controlling lighting (on/off, etc.) or launching scenarios in the Alioth units.

Outputs:

In the user interface, an error threshold can be programmed. When this threshold is met or exceeded, the output relay triggers, switching from normally open to normally closed.

In this way, an external device can be notified that said threshold has been reached.
